Guantánamo Diary / Dagbok fra Guantánamo

Arrangementsinformasjon

Mohamedou Ould Slahi has been detained in Guantánamo Bay since 2002, without being charged with specific offenses. Meet Larry Siems, who edited the publication of his diary, and the author's brother, Yahdih Slahi, in conversation with Gerald Kador Folkvord from Amnesty.

After three years in the prison camp, Mohamedou began to keep a diary in which he tells about the time before he was taken into US custody, about interrogations and being moved to the camp, and about everyday life as a prisoner in Guantánamo. Slahis diary is not only a strong depiction of miscarriage of justice, but a deeply personal autobiography.

The Guantánamo Diary was published in English and Norwegian this spring.
